Hi everyone! The Steam release is coming closer and with Alpha 8 appearing on Steam, Founders’ Fortune will no longer be available for free as it was during the previous Alphas.
If you have downloaded Alpha 7 or any previous version already, you can continue playing them, but they will no longer be available for download.
The free version helped Founders’ Fortune gain a very friendly community during the last couple of months and we’re glad that so many people had a chance to try the game and give valuable feedback. Since the first public alpha versions, Founders’ Fortune has come a long way and we think it has reached a point to justify making it a paid product.
At this point, I’d like to thank all the community members who chose to support the development early and bought the game even though the exact same version was available for free. Thanks!
When Founders’ Fortune gets released on Steam, probably on July 19th, we’re planning to raise the price a little, going from 15$ to 15€. Anyone who buys the game on our website also gets a Steam key once the game is available there.
